Display Settings

Get to know the 20|20's Display Settings menu.

Updated January 28, 2022

You can troubleshoot and configure how your Gen3 Display itself behaves in the Display settings menu, a submenu under the Systems setup menu.

Inside the Display settings menu, the Back button takes you all the way back to the Setup menu homepage.

Table of Contents

Find the Display Settings Menu

Go to the Setup menu by tapping the Home button (if you're not already there) and then Setup. From there, tap Systems in the sidebar followed by Display at the bottom of the next sidebar.

If you have many systems installed, you may need to scroll the sidebar to find Display.

Adjust Basic Settings

Switch Between Metric and Imperial Units

As soon as you arrive in the Display settings menu, you should see a box in the top center that says Units. Tap it and select the option you want.

Switch Languages

As soon as you arrive in the Display settings menu, you should see a box in the top center that says Language. Tap it and select the option you want. Besides English, available languages include:

  • Bulgarian
  • French (Canada)
  • French (France)
  • German
  • Hungarian
  • Italian
  • Portuguese
  • Spanish (Argentina)
  • Spanish (Mexico & US)
  • Romanian
  • Russian
  • Ukrainian

Adjust Date and Time

In the Display settings menu sidebar, tap Date/Time. Then adjust timezone, time, and date as needed, by tapping on them. Each one will walk you through a multi-step process. At each stage, just select the correct option or type it in and hit enter. Note that time is in 24-hour format, not am/pm.

Change Type and Volume of Sounds

In the Display settings menu sidebar, tap Sound.

On this page, you will be able to adjust three types of sounds:

  • Alert Sound: a notification sound, played at the end of a pass or when a system crosses one of the alert thresholds set up in the Crops setup menu.
  • Failure Sound: an alarm that sounds when a metric crosses a failure threshold set in the Crops setup menu
  • Click Sound: the sound made whenever you press an active part of the screen (such as pressing buttons, tapping input fields, selecting options)

To change the sound you hear when one of these events occurs, tap the name of the sound you want to change. This will bring up a list of options, ranged from the more traditional to the more playful and humorous.

To adjust the volume, touch and hold the slider for that volume and move it up or down. Alternatively, you can tap Mute to silence that particular sound.

Adjust LED and Display Brightness

In the Display settings menu sidebar, tap Brightness. You can adjust how bright the screen is, as well as the LEDS on the Cab Control Module, using the slider. Press and hold it, then drag it up or down.

Enable or Disable Notifications in a Multi-Monitor Setup

If you have multiple displays set up, you can change whether or not this monitor gives notifications.

As soon as you arrive in the Display settings menu, you should see a button at the bottom that says Multiple Display Mode. Tap it and toggle the three options in the popup by tapping them on or off:

  • Alerts and Alarms
  • Screen Jump
  • Event Popups

Troubleshoot Display or Review Specs

Check Currently Installed Software Version and Serial Number

To see what version of 20|20 software you're running, you can just go to the Setup menu home page and look at the top right, where it says Version.

But you can also see this information in the Display settings menu. Tap About in the sidebar, and you will see both the software version your Display Base Module is running and the software version your Gen3 Display is running, as well as their serial numbers.

Check How Much Memory Is Available on Your Devices

From the Display settings menu, tap About in the sidebar. You will see two Disk Usage values, one for the Display and one for the Display Base Module. Each one is given as a percentage of total space. 100% means that you have no memory left available.

Test That Your Touch Screen Is Working

If you're worried that your touch screen is not working properly you can test it. Go to the Display settings menu and press the Advanced Setup button on the bottom of the screen. Then tap Touch Screen Test in the sidebar.

A black screen will appear, and you can touch and drag across the screen to "paint" it a different color. Verify that all areas are working correctly by seeing if they respond to your touch.

When you're done, press and hold for five full seconds to exit.

Restart or Reset Your 20|20

Go to the Display settings menu and press the Advanced Setup button on the bottom of the screen. Among the options in the sidebar, you'll find:

  • Restart Display restarts the display but not any of the modules installed on the implement
  • Reset Settings resets just the settings in the Display menu
  • Factory Reset resets all configurations, including implement, crop, and field settings

Review License Agreement

To review the End User License Agreement, go to the Display settings menu, tap About in the sidebar, then press the License Agreement button at the bottom of the page.

Put the Display to Sleep

There's a Standby button in the sidebar of the Display settings menu, which will make the screen go black until you tap it again to restore normal activity. You may want to use this when moving between fields at night, for example.
